How will I know if I am allowed to start caddying after training?
You will be notified by Nick. From that point you are free to caddie whenever you would like.
What should I wear to caddie?
Caddie Uniforms will be available for purchase after the conclusion of training for $75. This includes a hat, caddie polo, name tag, caddie bib, and towel. All pieces of the uniform are necessary to caddie and you will be sent home if you do not have all of the pieces. Hats are optional.
How do I know when I should show up to caddie?
Primarily, Friday-Sunday are the best days to caddie. Busy times are Friday after 10:30am, Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00am in the summer.
Apart from Mondays, you are able to caddie any day that you would like. Arrive to White Eagle and wait patiently for an assignment. The chances of you receiving a caddie assignment are much higher Friday-Sunday, but there are still plenty of caddie opportunities.
What happens if I show up to receive a caddie assignment and I don't get one?
About half the caddie assignments are assigned in days prior. You may show up and wait for a caddie assignment as well. There are very few times in a season that you will not receive an assignment. If you do not receive an assignment you are not forced to stay and wait for an assignment.
How will I know if the course is closed due to weather?
Caddies will be notified through the text alert system the day of. Please stay tuned to the Twitter page as well @WEGCcaddies. Caddies will not be needed on days the course is closed.
Am I able to receive additional training in a one on one setting?
Please notify Nick if the material is not fully understood. Please do not be embarrassed to ask questions. Asking questions will ensure that you are confident on the golf course. There is additional training for candidates with serious potential only.
How do I caddie in club events?
A calendar of club events will be available in the WEGC Caddie Manual found on the "Important Dates" tab. Each event will also be posted on the Caddie Dashboard in the Birdie Bongo App. Please respond to caddie texts that are sent out. Caddie assignments will be sent out the day prior with instructions.
How do I receive payment for my loop? (caddie assignment)
Cash will be paid to the caddie after the round.
